Virtual Author Events 2026-27

A. Each author event is 30-35 minutes long for grades K–2 and 40 minutes long for grades 3–8, including time for a Q&A session with the author.

 A. Yes! Each author event includes at least one interactive element—like reading, writing, or drawing—with the author or illustrator.

A.  No. The featured books enhance the experience but are not required reading before the author event.

A. Yes! Bookelicious author events are thoughtfully designed to support academic standards and classroom learning.

 A. Yes! All registered schools can apply to be a Spotlight School. Selected participants' classrooms appear on the live event to ask questions directly of the author. All other classrooms can submit questions through the Q&A box during the webinar.

A.  A Spotlight School's class (or grade level) appears live during the virutal event to ask questions of the author. All participating librarians and classroom educators at registered schools for a specific event are welcome to apply. Classes are selected based on their thoughtful and unique questions. Selected classes will be notified ahead of the event. Limited spots available. 

A.  Complete this form to apply to become a Spotlight School for any registered event. 

A.  Yes. All author events are recorded and available to watch for 30 days after the live event. (For registrants only.) Please note: Students appearing live during the Q&A portion will not be included in the recording, however the author's answers will be. 

A. Event pricing includes access for up to 5 Zoom links per school. Need more? Additional links can be added for $5 each. Purchase them here. 

A. Once a payment or purchase order is received, a PDF is sent with a registration link to fill in the email addresses corresponding to the participating classrooms. You can also purchase additional links at this time. Once completed, Zoom links are sent direclty from Zoom. 

A. Zoom links are sent directly from Zoom no later than one week before the event.

A. First, check your SPAM or junk folder—the link comes directly from Zoom. If you still can’t find it, email us at customercare@bookelicious.com.

A. No, the author event is only available live at the scheduled time. However, the recording is available for 30 days post event and can be use at any time. 

A. Yes! You can project the author event in a shared space (library, auditorium, gym) for several classrooms, a grade level, or the whole school.

A. Cancellations are available within 7 days of payment; author changes are not available. 

A. Your purchase includes:

A. Package options are: Event Only ($99) or the Event + Book Bundle ($179). The Event + Book Bundle includes a collection of 5 different hardcover titles by the author. The Event Only option does not include books. 

*All books are hardcover and subject to availability. If hardcovers of the title are no longe available from the publisher, paperbacks will be substituted. 

A. Books typically ship within 5-7 days of payment. 

A. This is exclusive video content, unique to the event itself, extends learning by exploring topics, themes, or real-life inspirations behind the author's books. It is highly engaging and ready-to-use one month before and one month after the event. Produced by educators on the Bookelicious Team, it aligns with literacy standards and is only accessible to registrants. 

A. Behind the Book content is available one month prior to the event through 30 days after the event. 

A. Behind the Book content can be found on the link on the PDF that was sent after payment or a purchase order was received. 

A. The link to the recording is included on the PDF that was sent after payment or a purchase order was received. 

A. The Student Activity Guide can be found on the link on the PDF that was sent after payment or a purchase order was received. 

A. All author events are hosted via Zoom Webinar. You do not need a Zoom account to join—just the access link.

A. No webcam is needed to watch the event. However, if your class is selected as a Spotlight School, you’ll need a webcam and microphone to interact live with the author.

A. We are unable to provide support during the event. However, the recording is available for 30 days post-event, in case you miss any part. 

A. We accept credit cards, purchase orders, and checks. If you need an invoice or are paying with a purchase order, choose "Request PO or Invoice" at checkout. 

A. Yes. An invoice or receipt is sent after registration. Need something custom? Email customercare@bookelicious.com. 

A. Yes. Choose "Request a Quote or Invoice" at checkout. The quote will be emailed within three (3) business days.
